Welcome to MyQuitPal. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the MyQuitPal mobile application and when you interact with our website at myquitpal.com.

Data stored locally on your device:

• Recovery streak counter and daily check-in logs
• Mood entries and journal notes
• Trigger tracking data
• Custom goals and milestones
• App preferences and notification settings

Data that may be transmitted:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: anonymous usage metrics, crash reports, and performance data
• Cloud sync (opt-in): encrypted snapshot of your recovery data synced via Firebase when you sign in
• AI Coach (Google Gemini): messages you type and selected context are sent to Google Gemini for AI-powered coaching responses
• Website forms (Web3Forms): name, email, and message content submitted through the contact form

• To provide and improve the MyQuitPal recovery experience
• To sync your data across devices (when signed in)
• To provide AI-powered coaching responses via Google Gemini
• To monitor app stability and fix crashes via Firebase Crashlytics
• To understand aggregate usage patterns (no individual tracking)
• To respond to your inquiries submitted through our website

All recovery data is stored locally on your device using secure storage APIs provided by iOS. When you opt into cloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest within Firebase infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your recovery journey is private and stays that way.

MyQuitPal uses the following third-party services:

• Disable cloud sync: Settings → Privacy → toggle off "Cloud Sync"
• Delete cloud data: Settings → Privacy → "Delete Cloud Data"
• Delete local data: Simply uninstall the app — all local data is removed
• Opt out of analytics: Settings → Privacy → toggle off "Analytics"
• Request data export: Email us at support@myquitpal.com

MyQuitPal is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you through the app or via email.
