Welcome to MyQuitPal. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the MyQuitPal mobile application and when you interact with our website at myquitpal.com.

Data stored locally on your device:

• Recovery streak counter and daily check-in logs
• Mood entries and journal notes
• Urges, setbacks, triggers, check-ins, and SOS activity
• Coach conversations and trusted-contact details
• Custom goals and milestones
• App preferences, notification settings, profile media, and locally cached generated audio

Data that may be transmitted:

• Account and sign-in: account identifier, email, display name, and authentication metadata processed by Firebase and your selected sign-in provider
• Cloud backup: only the recovery, AI-eligible journal, or Coach categories you separately enable, stored through Firebase
• Coach and Journal AI: the content and bounded context described in the in-app disclosure, sent to Google through Firebase AI (Gemini) after your action
• Future You voice: an optional recorded sample sent through a MyQuitPal Firebase function to ElevenLabs after explicit agreement
• Product Analytics and Crash Diagnostics: allow-listed product events or bounded technical diagnostics, only after the corresponding opt-in
• Subscriptions: product, purchase, restore, transaction, and entitlement information processed by Apple and RevenueCat
• Website forms (Web3Forms): name, email, and message content submitted through the contact form

• To provide and improve the MyQuitPal recovery experience
• To authenticate accounts and restore qualifying purchases
• To perform only the cloud-backup categories you select
• To answer Coach or Journal AI requests and create an optional voice after your action
• To measure product use or diagnose crashes only after the corresponding opt-in
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep device features reliable
• To respond to your inquiries submitted through our website

Recovery data is stored locally using iOS storage protections. When you enable a cloud-backup category, selected data is protected in transit and at rest using the safeguards provided by Firebase and its infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your recovery journey is private and stays that way.

MyQuitPal uses the following third-party services:

• Local records remain until you delete them, reset the affected category, or uninstall the App, subject to iOS backup behavior you control.
• Optional Firebase snapshots remain until overwritten, removed through the confirmed category-removal flow, or deleted with the account.
• The raw Future You sample is not stored in Firestore and is removed locally when setup ends. Deleting the voice requests deletion from ElevenLabs and clears the local generated-audio cache.
• Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records for purchase integrity, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and disputes.
• Turning off optional Analytics or Crash Diagnostics stops new optional collection but does not recall data already processed while enabled.

• Cloud backup: independently enable or disable Recovery Activity, AI-Eligible Journals, and Coach History in Privacy Choices
• AI controls: withdraw Journal AI consent or delete your Future You voice using the corresponding in-app controls
• Telemetry: independently enable or disable Product Analytics and Crash Diagnostics in Privacy Choices
• Delete or export: use the in-app data controls or submit a request at myquitpal.com/contact
• Support safety: do not include journal, crisis, Coach, or trusted-contact content in a support request

MyQuitPal and its AI features are intended only for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly provide the service to or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe an under-18 user supplied information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you through the app or via email.
